Nisus Graduation 2006

Nisus Scotland held their annual graduation ceremony in the City Chambers in June.
Minister for Communities, Malcolm Chisholm opened the event which was hosted by Senior Bailie Fitzpatrick.
Over 100 guests attended the celebration of more than 50 students’ achievements.
Many students wore traditional dress which made the event a spectacle of colour and style.

Evelyn Quaison |
Graduates include Evelyn Quaison, originally from Ghana, who has spent the last 2 years raising her young family and has always dreamt of becoming a nurse. After completing a 12 week course at Nisus Scotland, she has successfully secured a place on the nursing access course at Edinburgh’s Telford College and plans to study for a nursing degree. Evelyn said,
"I have gained more confidence in myself, especially my IT skills."
Iris McMillan, Chair of Nisus Scotland Board of Trustees, closed the ceremony by thanking funders, staff and students for their contribution to Nisus’s ongoing success, and wishing all graduates a happy and prosperous future.
