Funding Success for 2006

Nisus Scotland are delighted to announce that several of our recent funding applications have been successful. This funding will help us sustain and further develop our services in 2006.

Three of our projects were successful in securing continuation funding in the sixth round call for applications from the European Social Fund. Awards include £72,276 for the FlexIT project, £72,976 for the Skilltech project and £48,670 for Quaytech.

We are also thrilled to have received a learndirect scotland Sustainable Development Grant for £33,420. The fund will help us put in place measures that will increase our sustainability beyond 2006.

Additional awards include £4,926 from North and Leith Local Development Committee. This has enabled us to pilot a training programme for volunteers in the North and Leith Ward Areas.

Our Skilltech project has also been awarded £8706.22 from CLAN Edinburgh. This has funded the introduction of basic English language qualifications on our Skilltech 12-week courses.
