Nisus Gains SHAW Bronze Award
Nisus Scotland was pleased to receive its Bronze award recently after completing a variety of activities to promote the health and wellbeing of its staff.
These activities included the introduction of a free staff fruit bowl, the contents of which were delivered fresh each Monday morning, and a pedometer challenge to encourage the activity levels of staff whilst at work.
Nisus is now working towards the Silver award and Commendation Award for Mental Health, which is also co-ordinated by Scotland’s Health at Work.
Scotland's Health at Work is the national award programme which rewards employers who demonstrate commitment to improving the health and ultimately the performance of their workforce. The programme was set up in 1996 to address Scotland's poor health record and brings benefits by helping create a healthier, more motivated workforce and reducing sickness absence.
