New IT Day Courses for Spring 2006

Following feedback from their clients, Nisus Scotland is making some changes to its popular IT day course provision.

Nisus have increased their new troubleshooting course, PC Solver, from a half-day to a full-day course, and are introducing a new course for those for whom computers are a bit of a mystery: PC Novice. Both of these courses are running on a variety of dates throughout the first quarter of 2006.

The flexibility of the booking procedure is also being enhanced with day courses being available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the Spring – so just pick a day that suits you! If work means you can’t manage a whole day away from the office you could pick two half-day sessions instead.

If you are interested please see the enclosed day course schedule or call Martin on 0131 554 5656.

Nisus in the Pink for Breast Cancer Care

On the 26th of October, Nisus Scotland held a Pink Party to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

The staff and trainees were encouraged to wear pink for the day and a variety of activities were held to help raise money including a tombola and a raffle.

We were glad to see so many staff and trainees enter into the spirit of the day with the majority of those in the centre turning up in pink.

Nabila, a trainee on the Edinburgh Women’s Training course also brought a selection of delicious cakes along to add to the event.

Overall Nisus, with the help and grateful contributions from trainees and staff, managed to raise £220.00 for Breast Cancer Care. In the afternoon, Christine Delaney, a nurse from the breast-screening clinic at Lauriston Place came to the centre to hold a breast awareness presentation.

Nisus thanks all those who helped make the day a success!
