ILA Scotland — now it’s
for everyone!
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Executive scheme that
will help you pay for learning you want to do. It’s
available for anyone aged 18 or over and living in Scotland.
Even if you earn more than £15,000 a year you can
now apply for an ILA Scotland account. With an individual
learning account you will be able to claim up to £100
a year to put towards a range of courses to build your
computer skills.
And if you earn £15,000 a year or less, you can
still apply for an individual learning account that will
give you up to £200 a year towards learning something
new.
Nisus is currently able to offer you a range of accredited
IT training courses to study that are eligible for ILA
Scotland funding, including the European Computer Driving
Licence® (ECDL) and Microsoft Office Specialist® (MOS).
These qualifications offer proof to employers of your
IT skills, and can increase your own knowledge of popular
desktop packages to intermediate and advanced levels.
You can find out more about the ECDL at www.ecdl.co.uk and about MOS at www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/officespecialist/

This was proved
last month when trainees from current and past courses
got the chance to meet and catch up at the
annual summer picnic.
Thanks to all volunteers, staff, trainees, their children
and grandchildren, for braving the grey skies over Leith
Links and making the day so much fun!
