A
small graduation ceremony took place on Monday 21 February
at the Queen Charlotte Rooms in Leith. The event celebrated the
success of 12 students who completed the Skilltech 12-week training

MSP Malcolm Chisholm delivered a positive and inspiring speech
which he then followed with a formal certificate presentation.
He welcomed the contribution of the black and minority ethnic
community to Scotland and spoke highly of the services provided
at Nisus Scotland.
Former student, Emmanuel Danha, made a short speech from the
student perspective and Laureen Campbell, Nisus Scotland Director,
thanked staff and funders for their continued commitment to
the project.
Success stories from the graduates include full time employment
with the NHS and full time employment in a local private nursery.
Several graduates are now completing work placements, while others
have opted to continue their achievements through another education
course.
