Trainee to Volunteer … a Change of Perspective

Neil Robinson attended our SummIT course earlier this year. Once he had graduated from the course he was happy to return to Nisus as a volunteer. So, we asked him to tell us a bit more about his time with Nisus so far...

“My experience as a trainee on the SummIT course will be one that I shall remember for years to come. I learnt an incredible lot about computers, obtaining my core ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)!

I also made good friends and found that the camaraderie and assistance from other students, and the support given by staff, was second to none.

Once my course came to an end I was offered the chance to volunteer by supporting new recruits with their studies. I found this to be a fulfilling experience which also allowed me to consolidate and even further the skills I had picked up by achieving my Advanced ECDL in Word Processing!

I would recommend volunteering to anyone!”

Are You Drug Aware?

After realising that our staff could benefit from drugs awareness training, Nisus contacted The Castle Project. Our team all felt that Caroline Crozier and Neil Stewart provided an informative yet relaxed and fun day’s training, and would recommend it to anyone interested in improving their drugs awareness.

If your organisation is interested in what training the Castle Project can offer please call Neil or Caroline on 0131 669 0068.
