FlexIT Receives Funding from CLAN

FlexIT has been successful in securing funding from City Literacy and Numeracy (CLAN). This will enable us to offer both dedicated and integrated literacy and numeracy tuition to our students.

Students will be encouraged to reinforce their learning by continuing to work towards their literacy and numeracy learning goals in the standard FlexIT Information Technology (IT) sessions. We will be fully utilising a range of resources, software and web based, so that students can readily integrate their learning within the IT sessions.

This funding will add a valuable new dimension to the project and will improve the quality of support and learning opportunities which we can offer our students.

FlexIT specialises in the provision of accesible and flexible training in IT and personal development for men and women with a disability or health concern and their carers. Currently in its fourth year, it allows trainees to use its computers and attend sessions at times which suit the individual.

If you are interested in finding out more about what FlexIT can offer you contact Collette on 0131 554 5656 or send an email for more details.
