Leonard
Cheshire is the UK’s largest disability charity. The
Leonard Cheshire Workability project aims to break down barriers
that can exist for
disabled people in the search for work.
The project
provides disabled people with the skills and support needed
to gain
access to training and
employment. As well as computer equipment, Workability participants
will be given Microsoft software and will be offered IT
training leading to nationally
accredited qualifications.
The project
is open to residents of the UK who are aged between 19 and
55 years. Applicants must be unemployed disabled people,
who, by reason of their disability,
have been hindered in their search for work. |
This is an exciting
opportunity for eligible
applicants to reap the joint benefits of FlexIT and Workability.
This will enable students to access IT and employability training,
free computer equipment for home use, and the support of both
organisations.
Workability Project Officer Doug Ross is confident
about the new partnership.
”I am sure
this is a relationship that will prove beneficial to our
respective
organisations and ultimately,
to our mutual
clients”
